Prasoon Dayal (Partner)
Prasoon Dayal is based in Hong Kong and has 22 years of experience in the finance industry, of which over 17 years have been buy-side roles dealing with illiquid investments in Asia.
Prasoon leads ADV’s coverage of South-east Asia and is responsible for driving value-add initiatives and generating synergies between ADV’s South-east Asia investments with the broader portfolio. Prior to ADV, Prasoon was the Head of Private Credit for Nomura Asia ex-Japan, where he ran the primary illiquid investment book. Previously, Prasoon was the Co-Head of Multi-Asset Class Research at Mount Kellett Capital, Executive Director in Morgan Stanley’s Strategic Finance Group, and an Asia Portfolio Manager (Special Situations) at the Rohatyn Group. He also worked for JP Morgan in various roles, including as Head of India for the Asia Special Situations Group, Senior Research Analyst and as a publishing analyst in the Credit Research team. Prasoon began his career in investment Banking with Peregrine Capital and then in the Private Equity group at AIG.
Prasoon has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a Bachelor of Technology in Mining Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University. He is fluent in English and Hindi.
